Interview with Charlie and Don


JM: What types of clothes were most common?
Charlie: All male inmates wear an orange pullover shirt and trousers; all female inmates wear blue tops/bottoms. No headgear (do-rags, bandanas, etc.) is allowed outside the tanks.

JM: Did you have a set uniform? What did it look like?
Charlie: See above.
Don: yes blues

JM: Were there any assigned clothes in high demand that an inmate should look for when getting clothing assigned?
Charlie: Clothing in good repair is always popular.
Don: no

JM: Was the clothing different between men and women?
Charlie: Yes; see above.
Don: yes

Comment: All male trustees wore white tops/bottoms while I was there. There is no uniform for female trustees - they wore the same uniform as the other female inmates.
